As my people say... “Aiya”!!
So I'm sure what I'm about to say has already been discussed ad nauseum in the blogosphere, but I'm still going to say it...
...MySpace is down for the second day in a row!!
Well, actually, it was up earlier today but I guess the heat overwhelmed their data server or something. That's all I'm going to say about that.
Anyway, it's been about a weeks worth of weird weather here in LA . It's been really hot, really humid, and just generally miserable. Not only that but there have been weird rainless thunderstorms around here. I think the big one is about to hit LA and So. Cal. It's just something in the air that doesn't feel right... it may not be a pending earthquake but I just have this weird feeling in my stomach that some sort of natural disaster or calamity is about to befall us here in the city of angels. I hope I'm wrong though.
In other news, I have found that DIY projects and repairing stuff around the house is actually pretty fun and rewarding. Our kitchen faucet had been leaking for the past two days, and with the hot water turned to the "off" position there was still a steady stream of water that would snake its way out of the faucet. I took the faucet apart earlier tonight and at 9pm made my way over to the Home Depot to pick up some replacement parts. The repair only took 5 minutes and it would've probably cost at least $50 to get a plumber out here to do what I did for $3 worth of parts.
Good times.
